I just wanted to say how absolutely fabulous pool piece is. I visited Amwell view this morning for a meeting and was told my son Toby was taking part. I was allowed to sneak in for the last 10 minutes. The attention to detail, visual spectacle and accompanying sounds, music and singing were all awesome and I found it quite moving. I just wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation for creating a truly unique and incredibly rich experience for my son and the others taking part.

Thinking back to the pool piece development days….I know exactly what you mean about the primacy of that visceral, vibratory , resonating experience of sound and movement in the water…and also the deliciousness of water cascading, dripping or bathing skin. Can’t wait to experience the piece…and get back in the water.
p.s and so very glad I will get to hear Sjaak sing again!

I want to meet Billy Mccool. I imagine he’s a little scary at first but once you get to know him he’s probably a right laugh.
I especially like he’s ‘Shark fin bling’ and ‘Frog spawn ring’

Lovely to have this blog to read….feels like I can still have one toe dipped in the water of pool piece until I can jump right back in in June….have lots of fun with wet, word dripped,devising. It is so wonderful to be able to eavesdrop on the gestation and delivery of this water baby in its birthing pool, it makes me feel part of something extraordinary and beautiful, and I am learning so much.
